Eka Ikpe is an academic and a senior lecturer in Development Economics in Africa and the Director of the African Leadership Centre at King’s College London. Her research centres around a critical understanding of socio-economic transformation processes within an African context.

In addition to her published work, Ikpe has participated in a range of policy projects that encompass the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, the Economic Community of West African States and UK Ministry of Defence. She has also made several media appearances on BBC World News, Al Jazeera and Radio France National.
