Mona Siddiqui is an internationally acclaimed academic, broadcaster and author and Professor of Islamic and Interreligious Studies at the University of Edinburgh. In 2012, Siddiqui appeared as a guest on Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs and in July 2015 as a mark of her accomplishments in academia. She holds six honorary doctorates and an honorary fellowship from the Royal Society of Scottish Architects for her contributions to public life.

As well as her impressive career in broadcasting and academia, Siddiqui has published a panoply of books, including her most recent being Human Struggle, where she ponders how humankind finds meaning in life during an age of uncertainty.
