"We don’t know if the Big Bang really had happened."
Krzysztof Meissner is a Polish theoretical physicist, specializing in elementary particle theory, and a professor of physics at the University of Warsaw. In 2013, he was awarded the Order of Polonia Restituta by President of Poland, Bronisław Komorowski, for outstanding contribution to research in the field of physics and to popularization of science.
Meissner is a long-term collaborator of Sir Roger Penrose. In the last two years, they have been hard at work in developing their theory of conformal cyclic cosmology, the idea that reality consists of a succession of universes going back eons. Both Penrose and Meissner will announce their latest groundbreaking work on the cyclical universe at this year's HTLGI.
