Alicia Kearns is the Conservative MP for Rutland and Melton and Chair of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee. Early in her political career, Kearns held civil service roles in the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Justice, and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and immediately prior to her election was directing counter-terrorism and hybrid warfare interventions in Lebanon, Morocco and the Western Balkans.
Her tenure as MP has been marked with by a mixture of hawkish foreign policy and centrist social views. She has been a vocal critic of China to the extent that they have tried to hack her private information.
